‘Avengers’ has gone down in Hollywood history as one of the biggest and most successful film franchises of all time. Before the film could amass billions at the box office, director-duo Joe and Anthony Russo set the stage for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ with the events of ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
In an unused ‘CACW’ concept art that has now gone viral, it was revealed that Vision goes as far as phasing through him and destroying his arc reactor to protect Wanda from getting hurt in the battle at the airport.
However, the Russo brothers didn’t go ahead with this, but chose an even more dramatic ending with Steve Rogers breaking Tony’s arc reactor with his shield, thus paving the way for the events of ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame’.
Marvel is now looking toward Scarlett Johansson’s ‘Black Widow’ to kick off the next phase of the MCU. The film was originally set for a May 2020 release but has now been postponed to 2021.
